You Are Memory
As a faded memory comes to an end,
With another prayer to God I send,
A smile yet to be beat,
Your beauty like a rare antherium is quite a feat.
There you are, in your blue dress,
Your hair cascading into a mess.
I watched your pink lips say, Your Handsome,
And felt my body quickly go numb.
Stumbling forward, remembering what mom told me,
Without thinking, I mumbled a, "Your pretty",
As words could not describe you,
That much is true.
I couldn't say what I felt at the time,
As they say we didnt know how love feels like.
Still, seven years later, I cannot fully say,
The way I felt when I saw you in your dress that one fateful day.
We were so young and pure,
My memory fades as time passes Im sure,
I want to tell you how I felt in my memory,
But you seem to still be my best story.
I remember your smile, even your name,
I remember the words that I said, the very same,
I remember everything, even when I cried,
But do you remember? Right now
tonight?
